How to play the cat puzzle

Help the orange cat reach the fish. In Cozy Cat Puzzle, every swipe sends a cat sliding until something stops it. The challenge is choosing the right stopping points within the move limit.

1. Swipe to slide

Swipe on a phone, or click and drag on desktop. A cat slides in a straight line until it reaches a wall, the board edge, or another piece. You cannot stop it halfway through a slide.

2. Make a stopping point

Move helper cats into useful positions. A helper can stop the orange cat where it needs to turn, making a route that was not possible before.

3. Reach the fish

Bring the orange cat to the fish within the move limit. Once you solve a puzzle, find the Shortest Path in the fewest moves without hints to earn a gold stamp.

Three tips for your first puzzles

  1. Start at the fish and look backward. Which row or column must the orange cat enter? Look for the stopping point that lines up that final slide.
  2. Give each helper a job. Before moving a helper cat, decide where you want it to stop the orange cat. Moving a piece just because it can move may use up your allowance.
  3. Change one move at a time. Use Undo to explore another direction. Restart when you want to try a fresh route from the beginning.
